NJS I have stopped shaving some years ago but generally the English shaving soaps are so delightfully and delicately scented that I cannot but help feel that using to find some.

Is this recommended or not? Has anybody tried it? Creating a lather from more than one soap/cream? It can't imagine it'd be harmful, no worse than putting shaving oil on your face before applying the lather...

Personally I think it's better for a good shave and scissors....
Manual shaving is what I use..
I tried shaving with a bowie knife.
And then want to shave it off, I'll always trim down with the electric then use the manual.
