Level to the Los Cabos forum (so you'll see both San Jose and Cabo San Lucas threads) and putting resorts in Cabo San Lucas, it's more likely you'll be in the Tourist Corridor (between the two big towns) or in San Jose del Cabo....

Cabo is a lot of fun.
I've also been to Cancun twice and heading to Riviera Maya for my honeymoon in March .
So I've done Cabo several times.
I'm mid 30's and live in CA.
Then you should give Cabo a go.
