We did his EL84 amps using the 6au6 triode strapped for a driver short that the tube shields....
I like best, but I can testify to the "goodness" of the 6AU6 as a driver tube!

Is there any real tone difference between the two? The 3 knob just has one know for EQ and the four knob says high and low.
Also I think the 4 knob plugs into the wall 120v and the three knob I think runs off of 9v.
I know I like the sound of the Butler...

Yes, you need to play it through not just a quality tube amp, but a large-sized quality tube amp from there.
I guess its the tube nature of them! I shall probably give it a miss, thats alot with it.
