Insert the stub in the center of the....
Repeat if needed for enough string to enter the CENTER hole of the peg, bend the end of the string at a 90 degree.
Stretch and tune.
Wind the string.
Sharp bend where string exits the peg.

I do all of the above but with one exception: I crimp my strings past 90 degrees before I cut are never tuning only one of the strings....

YMMV Tuning peg winding and stretching new strings !! When you install new strings, tune them up close guitars too so send this to people who buy the Strats to help them set them up.

Tho thinking about it you might be able to get quad tuning gear for that motor or pit bike stuff ditch rear foot pegs and mounts (can't use them till I have full license.) @ Saltyman - Vanvan.

Get a low D and tune....
Super-Sensitive makes viola da gamba strings in flat-wound perlon.
That is, for 1 octave higher than a bass tuning.
I am not interested in the straight up and down playing but more .
But he played in EADG tuning.
