I noticed from various SO questions that some shops ban the usage of open source software, like Subversion for example. What are the reasons for doing this?

It depends on how your shop would use the open source software.
The (government) shop I work at is required to have support contracts for any products such as Notepad++ or Paint.NET.

At Bass Pro shops in Canada you have to produce some gun ID like a PAL at gun shops to know you need....
It amazes me how me how has always been a gun freak .

I don't mind superdrugs it is big, some on here will tell you to shop small and independant are rubbish and never have any toiletries so I just buy lots of stuff from Superdrug or the 99p shop as they often have Original....
But it is vegan.
