Ok a friend of mine has a US Stove Forester FS model 5824 pellet stove, small unit he is looking to install it in a house he just bought that had an woodstove in it, the pipe that is there is 6” on the ceiling, now i know wood stove to pellet shouldnt...

What type of vent is the woodstove flue (Brand name)? There are reducers for just this application person suggested that the stove wont be able to blow it out the exhaust because the pipe is too big.

I presently use a Jotul 8 wood stove and am looking into purchasing a used Vermont Castings Resolute stove to burn coal. I much prefer the idea of the 2 door version rather than the single door that hinges downward, and want to be sure that I purchase...

They have a swing out ash pan (house/room/fireplace) is quit small... .
And want to burn coal, for what it will cost you for the stove and the conversion kit you could probably find a used Vigilant 2310 coal stove that would be nicer to use.

I have a 1983 us stove company wondercoal stove and it is in bad shape it has been over fired countless times and is badly warped. I had to realy work on the damper to get it to function so this spring it will be replaced.

Plan is a ranch type and is open in the middle where the stove is but its cut up at either end where! As said above you should be able to get a great stove for less then $2000.

I recently saw a blurb somewhere about an Amish family that was killed by an exploding wood stove. What would cause this to happen? Can the average wood stove owner explode their stove?

Serious injury maybe.
I was thinking some type of gas build up but couldnt underlying combustionables closeby.
I was thinking of that could cause a stove to explode.

We know this wood stove is better than the fisher stove for smoke…. now to prove this to our insurance company. We believe it is a clone of a Fisher Smoking Dragon. Does anyone have information on this stove? I’ve attached a picture.

Pipe and chimney flue must be same size as stove as they’re ok using codes or standards....
NFPA standard does not allow reduction in pipe size.
Check with your insurance company to find out if they will approve a stove.
Manufacturers plate on it….
