My Mac Pro 2010 is below my desk, 20cm to the right of my mouse pad.
Why in the world do i get mouse lag?
Ever so slight, but much more than when the mouse is right next to the Mac Pro.
Bluetooth - range: 10m.
So why does a 70cm distance create...

Turn off mouse and back on again and all good.

I keep hearing gamers saying that gaming mouse shouldn't be used since it has latency compared to the wired gaming mouse.

I've found that all of their Bluetooth models have, you will not notice the lag on a normal wireless mouse, but for first-person shooters it might.
Coming from a similar Logitech USB mouse.

It has both PS/2 and VGA.

Well, a wireless mouse with a USB dongle works fine with it, so I assume a wired mouse would work, a wireless mouse with a USB dongle works fine with it, so I assume a wired mouse would work as well.
