How can I upgrade Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10?

Can I revert back to Ubuntu 9.04 when I've upgraded to 9.10? I really want to install Ubuntu 9.10 but I'm scared if it does not work, if I will be able to go back to 9.04?

I have 4 servers with Ubuntu 9.04 I want to install mysql-cluster 5.1 but the package in the ubuntu repository doeas not have ndb binaries. What is the beast way to install mysql 5.1 with ndb binaries in ubuntu 9.04

The mysql website offers non-RPM binaries of their cluster server: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/cluster/7.0.html#Linux_ (non_RPM_packages) I've used their pre-packaged binaries in the past and they seem to be pretty easy... .

I installed Ubuntu 9.10 x64 recently. Up until now I've been on 32 bit Ubuntu. For the first time since installing it, I went and tried to play a Youtube video. There was no sound. So a quick test to the system reveals that nothing will play sound (And...

Why would it work in 9.04 x86 and not 9.10 x64? While booting up, and occasionally with the sound I was using (and I forgot to update my menu.lst so I was still booting the old 9.04 kernel)..
What is the steps to follow to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 as seamless as possible? I have just installed 9.04 and although it was pretty easy, I don't want to do a clean installation of it to upgrade to 9.10 ( I would have to backup what I've done etc ...

I upgraded to the RC through this method and everything works as it should, be warned this process takes a bit of time to complete... .
Click the system Menu Go to Administration and Click on update manager there should be a button to click to upgrade to 9.10 .
How is the latest Ubuntu 9.04 ? Are there any significant issues that anyone have experienced so far ?

I've learned not to do that, the hard way.
In the past I upgraded as soon as a new version came out .
I want to install VMware Player on Ubuntu 9.04. The official VMware download page does not have a deb package. Should I use their RPM? Or is there a better way to do this?

Edit: there are in fact instructions for VMWare Server install on Ubuntu 9.04 any additional components with Ubuntu 9.04 - it's currently supported out of the box).
Be similarly similar.
I have broken my boot sequence on my XP/Vista/Ubuntu box. I wish to restore the system back to the way that Ubuntu 9.04 (last installed OS) had it setup. I want to do only the mbr and /boot on the ubuntu partition and leave the rest of the system alone...

It wasted my time, because I googled in from upgrading from 8.x to 9.04 and observed the same.
