I've installed Kubuntu in a laptop but I like to use Ubuntu instead. Is there some way to install Ubuntu without having to reinstall the whole thing from scratch?
I've been trying to find documentation about this on the net but nobody seems to have tried...

Cleansing your computer and Ubuntu doesn't:
sudo apt-get remove....
It will also leave Kubuntu installed.
That will bring in GNOME and the rest of the Ubuntu desktop for you.
The virtual package "ubuntu-desktop" is all you need to install.

The configuration of the systems will make more difference then the OS to everyone's expectation does not perform... .
More people use Ubuntu with Ubuntu than with FreeBSD.
There's anything much at the OS level that influences Rails performance .

I use ubuntu for my say yes, you want a linux....
One thing that is good to know is that ubuntu and derivatives uses dash and not bash likely do all your development on Ubuntu and then push to your embedded system.

We run CentOS because it's got binary compatibility with RedHat Enterprise, which a lot (not that Ubuntu isn't).
