What can I do if there is no driver for the Canon MP530? I tried the driver for the MP520 but the printed page is messed up. Any ideas?

The script cmd is passed a whole lot of environment variables that tell it what is going on, and anything you might want to do is covered by those .
Look in the manual page for the --up cmd configuration entry .

You should not use the drivers for your physical....
Try doing this; then you can drag the window such that the requested buttons are revealed .
If you hold Alt in most X window managers, you can drag the body of a window and it will move where you want .

I've downloaded the correct driver for my card, but ....
To do this you will have to read the release notes carefully, and be a bit the directory where you downloaded the driver 1st, and also run as root "sudo".
Install the Driver.

Hi, i have Genius Facecam 300 webcam and ubuntu 10.04
lsusb prints:
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 093a:2627 Pixart Imaging, Inc.
Cheese doesn't detect the webcam.

My computer is a HP Pavilion dm5. On all previous releases of Ubuntu I would open up additional drivers, plug my computer into ethernet and install the driver and all would be fine. Now when I do that I get:

Computer? Many Dell models work well under Ubuntu with some configuration, though Ubuntu also does of the lspci -n command so we can identify the hardware in question and recommend a suitable driver? Finally an incorrect driver....
