I'm running Google Earth 6 on Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 2 x64. It installs and runs fine, but the fonts look very bad, almost unreadable. What could the problem be? You can see a screenshot of it here: http://tinypic.com/m/ego3yw/3

For windows this would download the full no clue why Google at all needs....
Try unchecking 'Include Google Chrome' option then click 'advanced setup' and uncheck 'Allow Google Earth to automatically install recommended updates'.

Hello.
My Google Earth has very small fonts.
I had tried to install ms fonts, qt, even the "native look" fonts, but none has worked.
On a fresh install, it looks ok, but once i install the NVIDIA driver the fonts got too small that can't be read. It happens...

I did a fresh install of 11.10. Then I immeadiately upgraded to 12.04 LTS. I installed Google Earth following the instructions here:

I was attempting over last few days to install Google Earth. I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04. I have 32 bit.
The install wasn't easy. Some sites stated to perform the install one way and other sites another way....

I've installed the 64-bit download from the site, I've built a package using the make goolge earth package from Synaptic, and they all seem to give the same performance. Every time I zoom to about 100 mi the whole system except for the mouse freezes

Several minutes, google earth exits and system returns back to normal.
