courses in freshman year- 'descriptive geometry' and 'technical drawing' which gave (I'd say sufficient) insight required to make drawings according to standards, while on sophomore year several courses in those courses was allowed....

Retake C's if you really want to and have no plans of doing more upper level ....
You are very right! I will just retake the classes I need to and take upper division courses division courses where I have time! Don't retake B's.
