You can get an introduction to almost all of those things by taking courses in analysis, abstract algebra, and linear algebra .

I hope this isn't counting as a necro I read somewhere on this thread that through connections at Dartmoth history and philosophy majors were able to get cushy jobs straight out of undergrad (PE I think) .
