What are the unknown objects for in this game?

UFOs are excellent for mapping the X-Universe whenever you start a new game because they just keep on going and going and don't stop. I always try have a fast M5 on standby for when I eventually find one. Set the M5 to follow the UFO and they'll uncover the whole Universe for you in no time. source

Trying to start Hub plot but cant find the advanced dolphin?

Fly into the unknown sector with the HUB in it and cruise up to the ship debris in the middle of the sector. Once you get within 4km or so a series of messages will be automatically downloaded to your ship and the mission will progress. source

Clues to finding the Aran?

The Aran should be quite visible, even at 180km out. I know the Pirate Bases can be noticed without VEG, and clear when they are zoomed in. source

Are they taxing lump sum amount?

I have to say that if anything like whats described above happens, you can be sure the Public Service unoins will come under a lot of pressure from members to resist in the strongest fashion. Is there not a case to be made that if you have a reasonable and legal expectation to get what you have contributed for under the contribution conditions at the inception of the contribution? Can anyone confirm if there is a legal precedent for this. source

What up with Recon M5s?

I have a similar problem in Unholy Descent after placing a hub gate pair between the two unknown sectors to the east. I've used the cheat script to clear out all ships in that sector and Spring of Belief several times, but I always end up with hundreds of ships sitting in front of the North gate idling. source
