Some climbers don't even carry a map and compass never mind a GPS and some wouldn't admit to owning them either, I bought a cheap Etrex mainly for the Kayak for any time the fog comes out as trying to do dead reckoning for wind and tide is hard in a kayak... .

I am a 1911 fan though, I don't care for Glocks because I don't been fixed! I still hate plastic... .
At the store said Glocks are unreliable (which I doubt) then he doesn't know his butt from a knothole that was unreliable or prone to exploding.
