I usually carry PDF X-Change on my usb, along with some pdf books I need in my work, or something I like reading in between.
But the thing that buggers me is the fact that you cannot save bookmarks or leave pretty much anything related to a file without...

On a Mac, Preview keeps its own (long, unsorted) list of bookmarks.

Now all my new bookmarks end up going to "Other Bookmarks," which are stored.

I've been having problems with bookmarks causing Firefox to hang - it does recover, but continues to hang for long periods of time if I continue looking at bookmarks. It appears to be a particular issue when viewing them in the sidebar or searching...

I've also moved my bookmarks out of "Unsorted".
I'll assume that you're working with this process of bookmark some things better.

Someone asked this question before but the thread is closed to new replies. Here is the answer (btw, I have a Macbook. not sure if it works for pc's):
1. Go to BOOKMARKS on the toolbar at the top of the screen.
2. Click on UNSORTED BOOKMARKS at the bottom...

I was wondering if anyone knows of an addon or a .css script that would make the bookmark menu scrollable like it is in Internet Explorer.
I do have sub folders for organizing them, but the main folder is always longer than the menu and it would be nice...

Tabs > Allow tabs on top: false are you having trouble with? When I hide the menubar, bookmarks toolbar or addons bar, they don't.

To my knowledge the files in the \bookmarks-backups\ folder and labelled bookmarks-date....
Over what shows up and doesn't - you can even use the "unsorted bookmarks" for this, clicking the star I can't advise which is best.

This is probably very simple, but how can I remove the history that resides in Safari's address bar?
I guess I could "reset Safari", but then I'd lose all my cookies, and I don't want to do that.
I already emptied the cache, cleared history, restarted...

Which means, to delete, one must go to Bookmarks - Show All Bookmarks....
For me, they lived in Bookmarks - Unsorted Bookmarks.
These particular bookmarks...at least one was a bookmark of a Yahoo email, for example).
