Have just upgraded from Vista Home Premium 32 bit to Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit which appeared to go well but i now have 2 annoying driver problems.
Whenever i now boot my computer a message pops up Saying Tages Protection Driver is incompatible ...

My uncle bought Windows 7. It comes with 32-bit and 64-bit install discs. He has a printer that has a 16-bit installer and so has to install the 32-bit version of Windows.

While this may not answer your question, it is a solution to a different problem:
Your printer's installer can be unpacked and... .
You can of course only have one installed at any given point .
The license covers both 32 and 64-bit versions.
It's possible.

The Windows 7 Upgrade Option.
This offer only exists for newer PCs, that were bought with that option clearly stated .

So would it be more economical to Upgrade win 7 Upgrade, you will have to backup and do a custom install.

Professional is an Anytime Upgrade, you cannot transfer the Home Premium if its a retail version because the Anytime Upgrade used the Home Premium as a base qualifying license, so it is tied.

Not sure if he has a retail disk though.
You can download the legitimate x64 iso from Digital River without forgotten about being able to reburn the Win 7 disk to all versions.
Deal uses retail pro upgrade keys.

PC World reports that word is that MS will offer a discounted price to new PC purchasers after June 2nd to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 8 Pro when it is released in fall. There is no information on what the discounted price might be.
