I have Windows Vista and I have an ISO for Windows 7 Ultimate. Is it possible for the upgrade to complete if I just run the disc as a mounted ISO in my Vista install? Or do I actually need to burn a DVD?

This is possible and the easiest way if you only want to do an upgrade, but personally the way.

It is just that you will be enabling additional features when you upgrade to Ultimate.

They then sent me a copy of W7 by UPS of the stick.
I bought this computer just before 7 came out.
It be worthwhile? it's not clear to me if that is just talking about people who buy W7 from some period in the future.

Did you purchase an Anytime Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or did you use....

If XP or Vista is not installed: 15.
When you have an Upgrade version - you need to have a qualifying version of Windows (XP or Vista) with a genuine license for the computer to use the Windows 7 Upgrade.

Is Ultimate an Anytime Upgrade key? If so then under the EULA you can't use Home Premium while it is qualifying for the Ultimate Upgrade.
