I've fitted the new thermal fuse and bingo! It works again. Now for
the Hoover PurePower 1900w.
However, the cut-out on the Hoover is different in that the thing cuts
out, then you leave...

Looking for a cheap hoover for my elderly mum, she has 2 circa 1930 which she is quite happy with but they dont do edges.
i'm looking for a very light, easy to use vac just for edges, so with a crevice tool that can remain fitted all the time for less...

Just spotted this on Amazon seems a good price for someone who needs a lightweight vacuum. The reviews are mixed but in general they are good. Might be useful to someone.

My ten+year old hoover upright is pretty much on its last legs. Cant complain too much as I definitely got some pretty good use out of it.
Im thinking of dropping some of this years bonus money on a Dyson DC25 animal and am looking for feedback from others...

Tried all of them at Target, Hoover! We have the DC25 upright....
That said in the past year or so we moved on to a Miele Cat, we were going through at least a vacuum a year, if not sooner .
It is still going strong somewhere.

The kettle is having a nervous breakdown ..even when the button has flicked to the off position it is still bubbling (not boiling as such) so now the only course of action is to unplug it aftwer...
