I've accumulated a couple thousand dollars of change of 3 banks.
I use Coinstar all of the time.
No? Based on my observations, the people who use Coinstar are low income people who can't dress with the proceeds.

Coinstar Machines
Great inventions.
Just got £153 from my copper jar for the lads weekend away. No way on earth I would have counted all that out. Well worth the 8% commission.

Not that they design to the same kind of testing and
calibration... .
Besides, Coinstar is a well known rip.
Sounds like a lot of time and gas (trip to the bank,
trip to the coinstar machine) to make $10 when I cashed in my ticket.....

In 2011 I hit the jackpot at a couple of out of town banks netting 40% and 90% silver halves. The out of town smaller banks seemed to be the ones that would have the rolls with silver in them. Locally, a couple of our banks were very uncooperative. They...

The biggest challenge I have with roll hunting is getting rid of all the coins since no banks in my area have a cointing machine, and it takes me forever to reroll everything. Coinstar in this area charges 9.8%, but only if you get a cash voucher. Has...

So, moving has taught me a lot. One big thing is that I am much messier than DH but he hoards much more than me (I have little sentimentality). I found two stashes of coins and he couldn't part with one, but the other I redeemed at Coinstar for over $...
