I've been using the .90 gauge for a couple of years of Dunlop nylon picks....
I've been playing Dunlop Tortex blues on all my acoustics sinceBlue Tortex 1.0 I like the Ultex sharp.
The Ultex .73 to my ears) Max Grip .88s.

Just wanna share a little tip: I've been using LOTS of different picks in recent years, and have for some time been okay with 1.14 standards. However I recently got some Dunlop Ultex picks in the "sharp" version, and they have proven to be the best bass...

I've been using the purple Dunlop 1.14 for years.
The greatest picks ever made! hands down awesome tone and durability....i use the standard shape 1mm May give 'em a try if I see them somewhere.

Dunlop Jazz III picks Bought one, didn't like it, kept it anyway, played with it for an hour yesterday just cuz I didn't find my other pick. Thought to myself "well it ain't that bad". Found my other pick, now it feels big and awkward!!!!

They have tortex, ultex, and max grip....
Check their site.
I absolutely hated them too at first but now i don't want to use anything, I believe Dunlop makes that shape in all their signature materials.
Tortex ones are my babies.

Wow!!!These picks are so freaking good!!!I bought the 1.0 because that is the only ones the store had.I admit I am still in the honeymoon phase but It improved my tone,my playing got better and thet were so much fun to play!!!Anybody else?

I've got a full pack (60 picks) of Dunlop Tortex yellow ones ( 0.71 ?). Very comfortable but ... that fucking clipping sound annoyed me ...

What pick do you prefer?
For many years (both on guitar and bass) my preferred pick was a Yamaha Hard. I can't find that specific pick anymore so I'm looking for a new one - and searching online showed me a lot of strange picks. Some made of bone, wood...

When I use a plectrum it's the yellow Tortex ones.
dunlop grey .73 but i use it wrong way round:12 PM.
dunlop tortex .88mm green I use the dunlop nylon 1mm guy.

Got my Wheatware picks I noted in the thread on these the other day that I'd ordered a bag, and they came yesterday. They're pretty cool, not that there's anything radical about them apart from the fact that they're made from wheat and are biodegradable...

For his acoustic these Dunlop....
For funky percussion stuff I use only light picks (the 0.50 of tortex are great, too!).
Before that he used the green Dunlop Tortex pick (0.88):
It's a bitter harder and better.
