Just curious. I've seen a lot of people on here slam "blue boxes". Is it that they (you) don't like the color, the manufacturer, or the style, or just that it's a plastic box?
Would you be happier if the plastic were black or gray? If that's the issue...

I've just got a plastic thumbpick. But it feels very awkward. the pick seems to long. Anyone cut a piece of it off so that it doesn't extend beyond your thumb too much? Or is it just some getting used to. I like playing with just the thumb, but sometimes...

I found I had that same problem, but I'm sure its something you would get used I could use both brighter and softer tones depending on how I held my hand.

I'm looking for a plastic that have these characteristics:
1)Optically clear
2)Chemically resistant (particularly against oil, petroleum based chemicals)
3)Impact resistant / durable
4) Easy to mold
