Does anyone make a finned intake crossover for the early 1st gen trucks. I dont want to cut up the rad support at this time and would think a heat sink style fin arrangement on a crossover might help.

On a crossover unit (like say Audio Control Richter Scale or Rane or DBX) can you recombine the signal without doing damage to the crossover unit or receiver?
What I am thinking of is using a crossover unit in my tape/adapter loop in front of a DBX 3BX...

Why dont you get a multiband comp/expander if you want to do that?
Using a crossover is not really the best way to do this.
