I managed to move it a bit by going to templates>ja_purity percentage 98% At the old version want, you can even use images, little more technical but quite achievable for novice/intermediate..

There are lorts of bugs with JA Social and Jomsocial working together. The facebook connect does not work and the ja social template within jomsocial does not work properly.
