Hi, I have an application in JavaME that can display the feed from viewfinder using the VideoControl
Item videoItem = (Item)vidc.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_GUI_PRIMITIVE, null);
and take a snapshot using the appropriate method. However, I don't ...

The fact that the viewfinder is being fed directly to the device's display means it can.
The viewfinder's image isn't available and permissions.
Would this help?
Hi
I'm afraid there's no way to do this .

Fancied the Oly M5 but after seeing DP's sample pix (and various web videos) and comparing them with DP's sample pix of 5N taken mainly with kit lens, I'm very doubtful now. 5N's pix look so much better, brighter.
But I'd need the accessory port for external...

I came to NEX....
Thats pointless for 5N having owned a NEX-5N w/out a viewfinder, and now a NEX-7.
I wonder if it's possible to use the 5N without every buying the additional viewfinder or whether it would use E mount lenses..

I just bought a GR1v package from Adorama. Received it yesterday and everything looks good except the viewfinder. It looks like some kind of ND or polarizing filter got knocked loose inside and is obstructing 1/4 of the viewfinder. GR1's aren't supposed...

In the frame counter, you also can expect not to see the shutter speed digits in the viewfinder, but I would say that viewfinder separation should not be associated with the issues that are a known problem like something loose has worked....

I bought a right angle viewfinder from eBay for a ME Super, assuming it would fit my Pentax K2000. No such luck. I notice that the viewfinder attachment on the right angle finder has four screws so it can be removed. Does Pentax make an "adapter," or ...

Hi,
Does anybody know if Aquatica is thinking about producing a 45° Viewfinder?
I think that for some types of diving the 45° viewfinder is very useful, like cave diving and wreck diving where you must be in an horizontal position almost all the time....

Www.blueviews.net I've used the Inon 45° viewfinder with an adapter from Backscatter on the Aquatica A5D2 for the 5D2 review....
I use etc.
On Hasselblads and Bronica's for years and found them superior in many ways to horizontal finders .

I seem to recall reading that one could grey out or darken the part of the viewfinder that is not covered by the DX lens viewing box. I can't find the thread that mentioned this nor can I find anything in the manual or menu that answers this question....

No, I haven't posted in the wrong forum :-)
I've been using my D800 a lot with DX lenses. It seems kind of strange, not taking advantage of the whole resolution of the sensor, but yet you still get nearly 16MP, which is sometimes more manageable. And ...

Yes, it is 100% coverage, but brightness (light gathering ability) and therefore visibility all the viewfinder cropped (the D800 can overlay a dark LCD 'window frame' over the unused part of the viewfinder, so ....

Hey there,
I just wondered if any of you use viewfinders or loupes with your glasses on?
Have you had any problems? When filming, do you switch to contact lenses?
Do you take off your glasses while shooting and use the diopter in the viewfinder?
Have ...

I don't know if I want to go as far as getting the EVF but I thought this optical finder that B&H has in stock might do the trick for my 16 mm when I am out in bright sunlight and when I want a little more stability. Has anyone used one of these?

Fringing when looking through viewfinder of 550D
Hi,
I was wondering if any other 550D owners (which is great, by the way) are experiencing fringing when looking through the viewfinder. In my case, it is yellow/blue fringing, and it seems to change depending...
