It rises on everything you buy from 15% to 17.5%
Which would mean a £49.99 drill kit rising to £51.08
But we have decided to absorb this to keep our prices competitive.

I've just booked a hotel room and the VAT says 17.5% on the invoice. The figures match that too. Is this right? I know VAT is 20%, are they allowed on the old rate?

I've just had it confirmed statues coming from SS through should be charged at 5% rate VAT not 17.5%, I'm getting a refund on my previous 2 Bowen Hulks and my Punisher comiquette came through this week with correct VAT charge, so check your receipts UK...

My sister living in Bournemouth told me on the phone that VAT has been
cut to 1 percent.
I find this difficult to believe, and that she may be getting it mixed
up with the current interest rate.

Any invoice dated before 1/12 has to include VAT at 17.5%.
All in all I am a bit dissapointed by the sale .
