Does the Vats system turn off power to the Fuel pump ? weve gotten around the wire to the trigger coil but now no Fuel pump power is this part of it ?

A 91 firebird I worked on had the PASSKEY module removed and all it would do is turn over and then allows the ECM to send the injector pulse on startup .

I have a 1989 L-98 IROC that has been having Vats issues recently. From time to time the car won't start and the security light comes on. If I let it set for a little while then try the key again it will start. I'm assuming this is the chip on the key...

If you dont have the key get a variable resister and test each of the 15For starters ,
VATS doesn't affect the fuel pump so if the pump not running you have other elec problems
Are you using the same ....

Looking at the ECM diagram in alldata....
VATS is in the removable "chip" thats in the ECM, not the ECM itself.
It seems like caprice had VATS before 94, like 91 or 92, but my book also shows 94 as the start.
I believe caprice had TBI in 88.

Or not but 200 bucks to completely remove system sounds good to me.
