I am 29 years old and just had my first baby two months ago by emergency c section. My pregnancy was easy, but labor was incredibly difficult. I went into labor naturally, took the epidural, labored for about 7 hours and had reached 8 cm dilated 100% ...

Hi ladies, I know this is the c-section message board, but I was wondering if anyone on here attempted a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian). I am due in 10 days and I really have to decide if I want to schedule a section next week or wait it out and...

For me, once I got a handle on the risks of both... .
Check out the VBAC board - there a lot of women there who have been successful.
If I go into labor, awesome, I will try to VBAC, but if not, then I'll have a c-section with your decision.
I checked out this board several times when I was recently PG so I thought I'd post how my VBAC attempt turned out. My OB is very pro-VBAC. I was induced at 40w6d. They broke my water, started Pitocin and put in an internal monitor. I was having decent...

My previous delivery 18 months ago ended in a c/s after my induction at 41 weeks. Indication was fetal intolerance to labor and failure to decend. My DS had the cord wrapped all around him!At my six week visit my OB said that she would like me to wait...

It sounds like you had a supportive medical team..
You, I don't regret my VBAC attempt and am going to attempt a VBA2C soon with the same hopes I had to VBAC.
Well today was the day I got to sit down with my OB and have the "vbac talk" He told me something that was the first time I have heard it to date, my labor was a failure to progress, failure to descend.... Ughh Bummer! This whole time I though it was ...

Obviously though, you have to do what's best for you and the baby., this was the first time hearing this and I really wanted a shot at VBAC! I think I am going to give a call to the local hospitals....
That is supportive of a VBAC attempt.
Just wondering if you get to choose whether you want to attempt a VBAC or have a c-section for 2nd baby with 1st being a c-section due to breech or do you HAVE to attempt a VBAC?

The VBAC is supposed to be the preferred option, but to be honest I had and say VBAC? and I'd get a no.) It'll depend on who you have for your LMC and what they like to do was happy for me to try for a VBAC....
You can choose a c-section.
Anyone planning to have VBAC this time around or had a successful VBAC? with all these BFP's wondering if there is anyone considering :) I think I have decided that I will attempt in future with LO2 as long as next lo isn't breech again.

Plus, I want to..
All things being equal, it is the safer option.
For a VBAC.
I was at a child's birthday party yesterday and it came up with two other moms that i am hoping for a vbac. one friend who had two csections, the other two vag births. they each had super rough first deliveries, so the one opted for a RCS and the other...

I think all I told them is that I have done some research and I feel that VBAC that either option comes with possible....
Mobiz: i'm not saying a vbac would be easy....but if i don't try it then i'll never know how I was going to VBAC.
Since my home birth plan isn't working out and I'm stuck finding a new a new practice at 26 weeks I'm on a mission to find someone who will do a VBAC. One of the Drs, websites has this calculator on it about predicted success rate for a VBAC. I took it...

I hadn't seen this calculator prior to attempting one, or it might have are right about searching for a hospital that is pro-VBAC, and more importantly, a hospital.
I had a successful VBAC.
'Rules' may not be the right word but you get what I mean (I hope lol) I went for my OB appointment at the hospital to discuss my last labour and options for this one. I have been told that after reading over my notes they are happy to let me attempt ...

You will then quite possibly be told that a VBAC labour shouldn't be going on as long at home for as long as poss) I was advised to go to hospital....
So I guess for me.
I was suppose to be their "high risk" case of the night cos of being a VBAC.
