I am trying to play a .mov file in VLC player, I am able to hear the audio but not able to see the video content. In the top left corner i see the vlc icon and then VLC (Direct3D output), Any suggestions please

I am going to assume other video files play just fine in VLC and this is a problem specific, but less annoying quicktime....

How do I get VLC to play on the second monitor on Windows? On Mac OS, there is an option in the video menu "fullscreen video device". Windows doesn't seem to have that option.
There are various options in the DirectX settings that let you select a monitor...

I'm not familiar with VLC motion sensor combined with the fact that VLC has a very small playback buffer out of the box with the Linux port of VLC here....
There is a delay that can be long enough to leave a gap in the music playback .

I've just tried VLC 2.0.0 on two dash assets (not encrypted), however both fail to play, and I suspect that VLC even doesn't find out that they're DASH.

That's a limitation of libdvdnav and libdvdread.
If you copy the ISO to the local disk and play it, can VLC play it properly? Yes, in local machine, VLC play properly the ISO.

You should be able to boost the volume.
I'm not sure why that is, but that's one of the reasons I use VLC instead of Quicktime.
Quicktime maxes out at 100%.
VLC's sound level goes up to 400%.
