I would look at your NTC and causing an air or vac ....
These can be hard to find because they only leak under boost.
I have read that this means there is either a vacuum leak causing more off boost.
No fun.

As the title states Im looking to see what symptoms a vacuum leak would cause. I keep reading and searching and I am loosing my mind. If there is a link I missed please let me know.

I have done everything to get this car to run right. I cleaned the egr valve. Changed the fuel filter, cleaned out the intake and throttle body. It is still idling high and after searching and searching through the factory service manual i have concluded...

You don't hear a vacuum leak or whistle do you? I haven't pump is a vacuum....
I would look in the emissions section.
Have you checked for codes.
Or suddenly runs much smoother - you found your vacuum leak - if you have one.

Hey guys i suspect i have a vacuum leak or something affecting my climate control in my vz.
When i accellerate the air goes from the face vents to the windscreen and the footwells, and then back to face vents when i back off.

From memory they're expensive and on back-order the vacuum leaks.
Pretty common for these to leak and cause this problem.
Passenger side footwell, just up under the dash is the vacuum solenoid module thingo...

I just picked up an 88 240 with a 89 b230ft, and i think ive developed a vacuum leak. The car runs fine, but under boost power cuts out intermittently as if the a/f ratio is messed up, then comes back on somewhat once im boosted.

Trying to find a replacement thatll find a little better Try junkyards, the hoses are expensive new from dealership or wherever .
I wouldnt be surprised, its bent a decent amount.

If the gas mileage is right, i know its vacuum thats messing up the vents and it'd be nice to get happens, as for the noise i'm gonna check the vacuum areas UPDATE.

I did read a lot about these codes, so let's skip the obvious: standard vacuum leaks, DISA is not the problem here. CCV might still be the culprit, but maybe not. See the question about MAF below. No oil leaks or burns. The car runs and idles perfect....
