Ok guys so i've been chasing idle and lean demons since my MAP sensor went down couple weeks ago. I've since replaced the MAP and IAC and now my problem is this:
When in gear, idling and at a stop, vacuum goes anywhere between 12 and 17. Out of gear it...

Here is a quick drive.
The reason I ask is the Velosyty chip looks at the IAC when doing idle fuel to try reset the IAC.
What do your IAC numbers look like at idle? With the truck warmed up, in park, it should be somewhere around 10-30.

I was playing around with my timing advance today after reading a couple of articles on setting the timing advance by a vacuum reading.
I originally had it set at 12* and ran fine, but wondering if it was really where it needed to be.
I ended up obtaining...

I've had a couple of problems since driving my XJ again after a year of sitting. I've had a stiff brake pedal (all the time), occasional ABS light that stays on for about a minute and now I've got a funky idle. I'm thinking it's a vacuum leak somewhere...

For a first step, disconnect the brake vacuum line from the manifold and plug or cap the connector at the manifold.
Maybe a cracked blow it apart.
Check hoses, check valve, and diaphragm itself.
Part of the brake system uses vacuum.

Is there a specific place to plug the vacuum line into for a vacuum referenced fuel regulator? I have mine plugged into the back of the manifold instead of at the base of the throttle body. Is there a difference? I go to car shows and people tell me I...

By vacuum referencing the regulator, the fuel pressure is lower at idle maintainingManifold vacuum is manifold....
What do you mean by tuning? Just idle? Then you would have low pressure pressure.
Have a vacuum reference.

Hello Benzworld, new member here.
If you have a 1997 E420 M119, with an engine that surges when warm, fluctuate in rpm 300/400 rpm to 1100/1500 rpm, sometime stalls, and sometime "cuts out" at around 1500 rpm during cruise, but starts fine when cold, ...

My wife was driving home and the car started to idle extremely rough (her words), so she ended up pulling over and calling for a tow home. Based on what I had read it seemed likely to be a vacuum related problem...

You can get these aftermarket, or at the dealer if they... .
If these tear, it can cause that issue.
I would look here.
(Grease one end of it.)
Stick that end up to your ear,
and use the hose like an antenna to find the leak sound .
Grab a yank of heater hose.

I had the same line pop off before, but I was reading about 18:1 at idle so I was running obviously lean.
I was told that if my AFR is above 15.3 at idle take the TMIC off.
I've check for leaks found none.

If you use a aftermarket air cleaner that does not require that vacuum hose then just plug it.
Jeff,
My guess is that is for the hose that goes to the ThermAc (vacuum-acutated flap in the air cleaner has been removed.

Vacuum is single threaded, there's nothing you can....
Your best best:
kill the vacuum back up the table with pg_dump -t option drop the table restore the table If you are using 8.x, look at the autovacuum options.
This exact same scenario.
