Sounds like you have answered your own question! :-) it probably is a rip or slight tear, and you may have to forgo sex for longer than a week for it to heal properly, or it could be some localized infection - not necessarily an STD,

But the better route would be to schedule a visit with you OBGYN for an exam and professional testing and treatment .
