If you want more boost install a MBC before the N75 valve.
I think the N75 is a bleed valve in itself is it not?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Washer non-return valve - need one that works...
Decided to fit one, as have found that if not used for a few days it takes a few seconds for washer jets to operate and in that time the wipers are rubbing dust and muck over the screen.
So off to Halfrauds...

Is this possible via the EMS, by way of advancing the spark? I know it's not valve timing per se, but wouldn't it have a similar effect?

Nope!
But, the ASV valve can be very problematic when starting if it is closed! (Anti-Shudder Valve).
