Why weren't you vegan before you became vegan? We have 'why r u vegan', so i thought we might like to speculate on the other side of the coin?

Quite a few veggies but no vegan.
My thoughts i've been vegan for eight years (i'm 24.) i do not have any other friends who are vegan.

Do vegans avoid bread entirely? Most bread contains dairy and eggs, so don't vegans not eat bread? Does this make it virtually impossible to eat at restaurants, unless you only order salads?
