Hi fellow peas! A quick question for you about Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I just bought a bunch and love the color selection, but every time I try inking my clear stamps with them, the inks bubbles up on the stamp and doesn't stamp properly. I end up with...

The other thing you might try is to use the stamp with versamark ink first...that tends the versamark-before-distress-ink trick also works great.
The stamp.

So I think I've decided I want to have an entire collection of one kind/brand of stamping inks. I'm leaning towards the Distress Inks - I have 4 so far. I have also considered Stampin' Up and Close to my Heart.
If you could buy a whole collection, from...

I use the Tsukineko ink quite a bit and also the craft inks from StampinUp....
But I mainly use inks for distressing so over two years I collected the entire distress ink line they are not my primary set that I use for stamping.

I'm trying to expand my ink collection a bit and I'm wondering what kind of stamping ink you all use. I have the Jenni Bowlin inks and I love them but the color choices are limited. I've picked up a few Stampin' Up! inks here and while I love them I'm...

I will also use my black ....
If I am going to stamp something and emboss, I use the Versamark embossing pad with whatever color embossing powder I am needing.
I may also have that same brand in black.
And the brand is Ranger-Archival Ink.

I have hero ....
On cardstock, the best white ink I have used with a white ink.
If you want to stamp on, for example, acetate or glass Stazon Cotton white works real well .
Hi Perla
It depends on what you want to use the white ink for.

I have all the Ranger Distress Inks and Staz-On pads, as well as most of the VersaMark Chalk Ink pads. I am seeking hands on experience with other colored pads and have narrowed it down to CTMH or Stampin' Up brands because of their vast color selection...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at twopeasinabucket):
I like both CTMH....
The CTMH ink pads better because they are easier for me to get open and use than the SU ones, but it may in the middle and then it is more difficult to ink the larger stamps in the middle....even when using assortmnent.

I should have posted this here first!

I can.
I won't be much help with a comparison because I have the SU ink pads but not the CTHM ones.

For Christmas, I got some Zing glitter embossing powder. I used my VersaMark pen rather than the ink pad bc I wanted to outline a shape with the glittery embossing. I've used the pen before and it worked great.
this time though, the embossing with sparse...

Did you ....
You got some good used the pen.
In addition, I find the Versamark pen is not as effective as the Versemark ink pad, applied the Versamark inkpad instead of the pen - I think the inkpad might give you better results.

This is a technique I used in a class last year and I thought I would put it up here as we have using a resist technique as a card challenge this month.
In this project I have combined the two techniques but that can be used separately as well.
Materials...

So, I have just started dabbling in the whole heat embossing world and am falling in love with it!!! However, I do have a crazy {for lack of a better word} question...is there some sort of embossing ink pen out there? You know, something that I could ...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at twopeasinabucket):
Anywho, grab yourself a Versamark pad, some fun stamps, it's not a crazy question at all....
It's not wonderful it in stock {at a price I am willing to pay} .
It's been YEARS since I bought mine, but I have a Versamark dual tipped pen.
Of it..

At this point, I have collected a few stamps and some stamping "stuff": different inks, embossing powders, perfect pearls, chalks, distress inks and a heat gun.
I have used everything at least a little bit but nothing seems to have stuck. I rarely reach...

If you saw how many stamps I have that have never seen an ink pad with various ink colors to stamp all over a piece of cardstock, then used it as the background spot that way the image is muted enough for you....
Not obligated to keep buying.
