How do I convert video files for use on the AppleTV? I've tried Handbrake but it crashes on a lot of the video files I have. Any alternatives that are free? I've got an Intel Mac running Snow Leopard.

Look at this move_uploaded_file , but if it's so big, it needs to be allowed in php.ini to upload this big files.

After setting up Windows Media Center and adding a/any folder that contains video, to the video library, none of the videos show up in Windows Media Center video library.
What do I need to do to be able to watch my videos?

That if you have multiple folders and large number of video files, you need to wait for a little long time drives with a few video files appear, but not the main drive? I am also having this exact same problem 7 issue.

I'm using uTorrent 2.0 and downloading videos. Some videos are large and I don't want to wait till their download is completed in order to preview. Is there a way I can preview the finished part of the videos with the .!ut extension?

This is because these files are not downloaded ) you could open uncomplete....
Running ubuntu, and I am able to find where the partial video files are stored and open them with vlc horrible until the file finishes downloading.

A while a go I had to developed a music site that allowed audio files to be uploaded to a site and then converted in to various formats using ffmpeg, people would then download the uploaded audio files after purchasing them and a tmp file would be created...

The consensus seems to be that storing file paths to the images on the filesystem, rather then the actual images is the way ....

You can also simply post the video and use http download or some and not free servers(Links are below)....
For the web I would suggest transcoding the video to H264 (use ffmpeg) and then serving for the server, including commercial and free.
