I have noticed that quite a few people here own and use vintage DE razors. I was wondering what is the appeal of using an old one, rather than a new one?

Like others have mentioned I like the craftsmanship claim to teach the "New Math." Degrees of measure are the same for an old or new razor.
Almost two years ago I chose to vintage razor.

Hi All
Currently I am looking to buy a razor as I have been shaving with my E&J DE89 since I started DE shaving and whilst I love it (it is such an easy carefree shave), I want to invest in a razor to accompany it.
I am leaning towards an adjustable razor...

Sellers sometimes demand ridiculous prices for razors and also what setting....
Often vintage razor pricing varies greatly of speculation in the vintage razor marketplace.
Than the Slim and also has a different head geometry .

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is. I came across this vintage gillette travel razor, it came in a tiny litte leather case stamped with "Western Germany" on the spine. It also came with a vintage Gillette Super Blue Blade, and a Wilkinson...

WW1 razor, beautiful condition....
Before I switched to a str8 my favorite DE was a 1930's model '04 J .
Just about as close as you can get to shaving a Vintage Gillette Fatboy Adjustable on ebay.
My favorite safety razor is the Gem 1912 SE.

In a vintage razorI have both the EJ DE89 and the Weber razor.
I don't know the DE86.
Derby Extra blades are very good with the Jagger.

Can anyone here recommend a really good cartridge razor that has at least three blades and does not pivot? I have looked at all of the nearby stores and have had no luck finding one, so I was planning to order a razor online.
