I just wanted to say I love my WHS
Not sure about upgrading to V2 though, could be expensive needing all new matched drives for hardware raid and I'd want to build a completely new rig.

I just set-up a small computer [I3 running W7] to replace an HD200. The server is running WHS. My problem is that dvd file playback is not possible, I get an error message. I think it has to do with the file location. On the homeserver the location may...

I'm currently just waiting on a 8-port SAS controller to come it to complete the change over of my current WHS system. My current plan is as follows:

As for running WHS in a VM, It would be no different (except for one caveat (within the home server).
Also, on an up-to-date WHS of the storage group.
You'll find that WHS will benefit greatly from at least 1gb of ram.

Hi
I'm keen to centralise all my Media storage and tuners to a single server device, ideally a WHS 2011 system.
