At school, there is a large network with lots of non-technical minded people and lots of viruses. How can I protect my flash drive from these worms and viruses so I don't bring them home and infect my home computers?

You can test basic functionality if you are concerned it in or if you go to open the file... .
Use a virus scanner and a personal firewall, don't enable sharing on any of your drives and don't there including the popular AVG free anti-virus .

This question is a little opinion based, but I think it can be based in fact and I would prefer answers backed up with a link to a reputable company if possible.
The problem is at my job, we have "okay" hardware for the developers, laptops running Windows...

Couldn't you just schedule the scans for when the computers aren't in use? This would lead to a higher power consumption, but would save you the burden of suffering through the scans .

Morning folks, who likes what with regards to virus protection software for a T43. I've been using Avast and I believe its worked well but slows down the machine considerably. I tried AVG for a few years and it let me down and my browser got hijacked....
