If you enter Vietnam by Airway you can apply for Vietnam Visa Arrival (take you 2 working days). It is the cheap and easy way. Otherwise you have to apply for Vietnam Visa Code in USA or in China.

You do realize your visa for Vietnam will start on the date of entry on your application form? You can enter any time after this if you like but it will still expire 30 days after that date of entry on form. Dont smoke too much, drink too much, eat too...
