I am a developer, when i bought a laptop, i got Vista Home Premium installed on it. I have IIS 7.0 running on it. Is the IIS 7 running on my Vista Home Premium machine the same as the one that is on Windows Server 2008?

There are also options for passing a username and password although I don't remember what they are right now net use /help should get them for you .
From a command prompt net use z: \\server\path\to\drive where you replace z with the letter you want .

I use the Ultimate edition, absolutely essential....
Other than that - the Ultimate edition is pretty much a union of the features in Business and Home Premium editions.
Support - both of those features are left out of Home Premium.

Since it's bestWhat I suggest is, you get the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade, and use the Anytime Upgrade feature to upgrade to Windows....
You can't "Upgrade" from Vista Home Premium to 7 Professional directly.
