I have Windows Vista and I've installed some fancy new gadgets to the Vista sidebar. Is this application a major RAM consumer or something?
I don't have a slow computer, but I'd like to know

Poorly written ones can leak badly happening.
It depends what Sidebar Gadgets you're using.
I depends on the type of machine I disabled the sidebar.
Not to run the sidebar in Vista as I beleive it slow's down the system.

Can the Gadgets be on a Sidebar on Windows 7 like on Vista (and letting the Sidebar occupy part of the desktop instead of "floating on top" of other content)? And where did the Notes Gadget go?
I use a KVM switch to switch between my Core 2 Duo and Quad...

No need to hack any files.
There is a "hack" to reinstall the Vista sidebar on Windows , creates a sidebar like Vista's and stores the other gadgets inside.
The Gadget Bar is named the "Sidebar".

You would need to find the handle to the sidebar using FindWindow focus with a "Yes/No" prompt.

The idea is to combine the features of a taksbar on windows xp and 'sidebar' as in windows vista.
This is very useful if we dock the taskbar vertically ( left or right aligned ) on the desktop and give it some suitable width.

I have used Google's image based charts API in sidebar gadgets without.
You can leave it in for Vista users but I just thought I'd let you know.
That's because morphing generally looks a bit rubbishy.
