When my small children play games on the Mac, they use the keyboard shortcut (what ought to be the "F12" key) to turn the volume up to the max, which is way too loud.

I solved this problem in Jaunty , but the Sound preferences menu has extensively changed in Karmic. What is the new way to do this?

Option, you could take the barebones approach and assign those function keys to a raw command which increases or decreases the volume on the headphone channel.

Before i go and install Windows 7 RTM i wanted to know how many keys are availble from a Single MSDN Volumne License Subsription? Are there any limits?

This can be edited to use any key or combination of keys.
