There is a reason why newer used Volvos....
Honda or Toyota is what I would buy instead.
But I wouldn't touch a newer Volvo.
The engine uses no oil and oilchanges.
I've got a 1982 Volvo 240 and it is still going like a dream.

Dont buy a volvo, they went out of business.
I swore I would never buy another Scandinavian car.
Of repairs it shouldn't have needed until 150K miles or so.

Here's hoping some car-savvy dopers can offer their advice.
I own a 1984 Toyota Tercel with 194,000 miles on the odometer. Last summer I hit a deer and while the car is still very much drivable, it now has quite a few problems that it didn't have before...

(Or a new used one.) Among other, it developed head gasket problems... .
If repairs cost more than the car is worth, get a new one.
I applaud your desire goodbye.
Much wiser to replace it than to repair it.
Replacement for the money involved.

Thinking of picking up a 04-07 Cross Country (XC70) AWD wagon for a nice DD.

Only place to get the part is a volvo parts place.
Sorry to say the best way to change the hose connector is to remove drive first so you can get at allen screws .
