A security setting on the router is blocking the connection: Logon to the router and verify all filters or security settings.
From the manufacturer's site (not Windows Update).

It does not help does android have an issue with 128bit wep to have trouble with WEP.

These are valid WEP....
They actually took out needed functionality with my "upgrade" to Windows 7? 1) .
In worst case, can't you change the WEP key to a simpler characters combination ? Those characters end up for the security hey.
