What is best Laptop for Watching movies and entertainment or gaming and i am looking for windows 7 as Operating System?

I've been using my 1210 for three or so....
Laptop with DVI (HDMI or DisplayPort) for connect big flat HD screen :)
Dell's XPS line are pretty good and go for a reasonable price .
Alienware notebooks are best for gaming.

I have a TV in a room that can only get wireless access to my home network. Without having to drag one of my PCs into the room, what is the best (cheapest) way to watch online movies?

For Netflix or Amazon movies, a Roku box works watch Hulu, ESPN, CBS....
Assuming you want to watch online movies or a whole lot of power unless you want to go HD.
It specifically to replace the laptop we're currently using.

Is there any legal way to watch Star Wars movies on my computer (other than buying or renting a DVD)?
Neither Amazon nor iTunes have them, and NetFlix can't stream them.

Thus, you allowed to record and watch, as long as the recording is deleted within 30 days.
As far as I'm aware, Lucas has no plans for digital distribution of the Star Wars movies.

O Brother, WhereA lot of the movies are due to "expire" from Instant Viewing at the end of the year, so this might watch.

I just got done watching two of the biggest turd films I think I have ever seen. You know thought I would get a couple of movies from redbox for me and the old lady tonight and boy did I pick a couple of real winners . The names of these piles of garbage...

I've got a bunch of movies on my desktop. Each one is around 700MB long, so for an average movie this is around 128 kb/s.
My WiFi is capable of transferring the movies at an average speed of 1 MB/s, sometimes 1.5 MB/s.
However if I try to watch a movie...

You could try using VLC to do streaming, that might cope better
What standard of WiFi are you using? The newer 802.11n is much faster than the (more common) older 802.11g protocol and should be able to stream your videos (and maybe even HD) at sufficient... .

In the latest version of VLC (1.0.3), do the following:
Open the video file/DVD Goto Tools > Effects and Filters (Ctrl + E) Goto the Video... .
In VLC open Effects and Filters (Ctrl+E), on the Video effects tab, Basic section: slide down the saturation .
