Hamsters dont and the hamster can get wet, making them cold .
I ALWAYS use a water bottle.
I give my hammies a mix of both pellets and seed mix .

So I was hand-feeding my guinea pig with her water bottle and I saw some brown water leak out of her mouth, so I squirted some of the water from the water bottle into the sink and it was brown even though the color of the water was clear. I refilled it...

Brown water can mean your Pigs bottled water until it is fixed.
Water solution for about 5 minutes, bottle and nozzle, and see if that helps.

Once in a while I need to reheat left-over rice and to keep them moist I
like to spray a mist of water on the rice before microwaving.
Problem with ordinary water spray bottle is they needed to be primed (pump a
few times) to suck the water up a tube....
