Am I correct that there are three water temp sensors on my camaro?
1 on the passenger side head
1 on the intake manifold near the thermostat housing
1 on the driver side head
Is it one for the dash gauge, one for the ECU, and one for the fan relay?

03 525efi, the water temp sensor is on the front left side of the motor on the crossover.

The water temperature sensor was probably also reading, a new sensor might solve your problem.
Need to pressure test the system for that.
