I use bees wax for my bow string and it builds up in a few spots, is there and tips like using a blow dryer to melt the wax or anything else out there yall know ?

To apply I just rub the wax on and rub quickly with just myI try not to....
Take your string to remove excess wax.
The cam with wax as well? Get so real proper bow wax that will take care of your string properly.

So my field points were coming loose and people on here recommended that I use string wax to keep them locked in. So I just put string wax on all of my field points and put them together.
My question is, do you do the same thing for your Hunting Broadheads...

Yeah just some string wax if needed i usually if the arrow gets wet Nothing at all wax will also keep the old broadheads from rusting, but they glue tape or ....
string wax on fp and bh....
Used loc-tite or something.

Is there a substitute to bow string wax I can use?
The bow shops in my area are all out of wax.

I use a special blend, and everytime I stretch it out it flakes? I need to prevent this because eventually I'm going to sell it. I've tried everything from more pliable wax, to differen't mesh +1/-0 Reply

What do you guys use to wax your bow strings? What brand? I bought some Pape's bow string wax and I'm not sure if it's a good brand. I'm wary about purchasing accessories from my local shop now.

I like the Brownell String Wax I've been using the Bohning seal-tite (I think) for quite a few and some parts of it looked like they were starting to fray so that's when I bought some string wax years and never had a problem....

I was told not to wax the serving but I recently saw a few vids with a guy who said it's necessary to do. Is he right?

So I take....
There is bow string material under the serving that needs wax like the rest of the string and servings stick to wax, and was told it could damage the string and possibly cam if you draw it with dirt n point.

I use 452x and I burnish the string twice and get a bunch of wax off. The problem is that when I put on the serving (bcy 3 d) wax from the string still ozzes out and discolors the serving. Black string and yellow serving. I know that they make a low wax...

Mason line for burnishing the string is the best way.
Hutch more guys will chime in, hope this helps.
To even out and remove the wax and give the string the look you want.

I have been experimenting with wax meshes. People have said bees wax works the best. But, where from? and is there clear? also I need tips for wax making. ive tried the tutorials on here, but they always turn out weird.
