So this question goes out to anyone who owns a Rolex they consider to be a tool watch.
If you have a SubC, Explorer, ExplorerII, DSSD etc. is there a situation when you would not be happy wearing your watch ?
Would you wear it to go climbing up a rock...

It's just a watch, after all sure.
However, when I work out in the gym or do tougher work I tend to wear myI'd wear mine in all of the situations you mention...and many more.
To the watch getting in the way.

I own a couple, and mom got me one last Christmas, but I rarely wear it. People have Treos and cell phones to tell time now, but watches are basically accessories mom says every man should wear to look classy. You still wear a watch, or is it just sitting...

I keep my cell phone in my pocket and would rather look at my watch than to dig into my pocket to look at the time.

Most of my higher priced watches were hardly worn. I wear a casio g shock most of my days.

I lurk around here every few months. I've been thinking of buying a watch, probably a Rolex, in the $4,000 to $6,000 range but am worried that after 3-6 months it just won't impress me much anymore. It does seem like there is quite a bit of watch flipping...
